Welcome to Mild Peril Theatre

A Night of Gothic Horror

Touring Autumn 2025

Three classic tales of terror.

A man mourns the loss of his love, sinking into despair and madness until a mysterious raven visits him; a couple are granted three wishes, but will pay dearly; evil deeds are revealed by a black cat. Who needs sleep anyway?

Love Struck and Sick of It

Touring Spring 2025

Four comedy shorts all about people in love.

A proposal of marriage; a man complains to a friend; a widow wants to mourn in peace; a husband gives a scientific lecture. Sometimes even simple plans just go very, very badly.

The Metamorphosis

Gregor has always done his best to provide for his family. He is a good, honest and reliable man, but he is also isolated and lonely even before a shocking transformation alienates him completely.

 The Dumb Waiter

Gus and Ben have a job to do, they just don't know exactly what it is yet. As they receive increasingly confusing instructions their nerves and tempers begin to unravel in this tense comedy.

Hard Times

A classic tale of the conflict between utilitarianism and imagination. There is no room for individuality in Thomas Gradgrind's Coketown, but his daughter Louise yearns for a life of creativity and passion.

Suddenly Last Summer

Violet Venable is grieving her son Sebastian after his mysterious death and is desperate to preserve his memory. Only Sebastian's cousin, Catharine, knows the shocking truth, and Mrs Venable will do whatever it takes to silence her.
